Course description

A beautiful, remote run on a huge variety of trail with blossom orchards, minority villages, jungle, hills (including some very steep climbs!) and broad valleys finishing in a beautiful tea plantation.

Shortly after the start you will climb up through orchards before expansive views of the surrounding hills open up as the trail traverses the mountain side. You’ll soon find yourself in remote backcountry – in this area the ethnic minority settlements are definitely not named on Google maps! Here you will enjoy some very runnable trail through orchards hopefully filled with blossom.

At CP2 you will turn onto a section that is exclusive to 42k runners before meeting back up with your 70k friends in the village of Ban Doi (CP5). Next your tired trail legs face another major climbing challenge up to CP6 in the village of Pa Ken 2.

After running down through more beautiful blossom-filled orchards you will turn onto the second exclusively 42k section through some dense jungle. A short sharp climb then leads you to the VTM finish line among a stunning tea plantation.
