How to get to Sapa

VMM inclusive race packages

With our 3/4 days inclusive packages, you can choose to stay at Topas Ecolodge or Sapa Town. Your transport from Hanoi to the mountains and back to Hanoi is included, along with transport to the race starts, food and accommodation.

From Noi Bai Domestic / International Airport to the meeting point

You can take a taxi from the airport, the cost is around VND 350,000/4-seat/way. Allow one hour to reach the meeting point and 30 minutes to an hour for clearing immigration.

International Airport, Hanoi

The closest international airport to the race area is Noi Bai International Airport (HAN), in Hanoi.

You can take Bus No. 86 (VND 45,000/person) or a taxi from the airport to the city center, the cost is around VND 350,000/4-seat/way.

Domestic Airport, Hanoi

Noi Bai Domestic Airport is right next to the international one.

Hanoi to Sapa

From Hanoi, you can travel to Sapa by bus, car or night train.

Trains: Chapa Express Train, Victoria Express Train, Livitran Express, King Express Train, Fanxipan Express Train, Sapaly Express Train, Violet Express Train….The train will bring you to Lao Cai City. From here, you can take the bus or taxi to Sapa Town, about 40km away.

Bus: You can also book Hai Van bus ticket via their mobile app, or visit online bus ticket website like Vexere. Travel time is around 5-5.5hours.

Sapa

As a famous destination for both international and domestic visitors, Sapa offers a wide range of accommodations to suit different preferences and budgets.

Many of VMM activities will take place at Sapa Park (next to Sapa Square – Google maps) , including: EXPO – race kit collection, Opening & Closing Ceremony, 10/21/50/100k/100 miles start line, bus pick-up to 70k start, bus drop-off from finish….

Public transport: electric vehicle, taxi, rented motorbike
