CUT-OFF TIMES (COT): 11:30 at CP1 (Nà Mo) – 14:30 at FINISH

Age restriction: Entrants must be at least 18 years old on the race date.

FINISH BAG

Handing in your bag: 01 bag/01 runner at the START LINE

Please prepare your own bag. Bags must be sealed/closed.

Do not include valuables – the organiser cannot be held responsible for any loss.

BRING your luggage tag (given at the race pack collection), we will staple it for you.

Picking up your bag after the race: at the FINISH

Note: no individual requests for bag transfers can be facilitated. ALL bags are moved together.

AGE GROUP AWARDS

Age categories are:

5km: Under 12;12-17; 18-39; 40+
15km/25km/55km/75km: Under 30; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+

The overall top 3 are excluded from the age group awards.

When you finish, you can check your age group ranking on results page.

Top 3 male/female runners can collect their trophies at a special Age Group Trophy Collection booth at the finish area: Sân Cộng Đồng Bản Lác (Saturday). We cannot ship trophies to those who do not come and collect them during this time slot.

Age group runners receive trophies only.

COT: CP Nà Mèo 5km at 11:30 – Finish 10.9km at 14:30

Please note, the Cut Off Time (COT) is the time you must leave the checkpoint. If you leave after the COT, the timing system will automatically list you as DNF (Did Not Finish). Also, if you leave on time, but you go back to the checkpoint after the COT, you will be listed DNF.

Age Restriction: Entrants must be at least 10 years old on the race date. For 10km entrants under 16 years old, parents/guardians must sign the consent form for race pack collection. Race entrants under 16 must run along with the guardian.

Finish Bag

Course description

This beautiful mountain route is a good challenge for those new to mountain running. It has some good climbs and descents to introduce you to the world of trails and make you feel proud when you cross the finish line.

Soon after the start from Lac village, you will run through rice terraces and villages of Thai people before climbing up through dense forest to a lookout. Here you will be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view across the valley.

After CP1 at Na Mo village, you will hit a short climb across the hillside to join the course of the longer distance runners.

The last section brings you down to the quintessential beauty of the main Mai Chau valley. Here we will have a finish line in the heart of the community, with music, fire, food and the good trail vibes our races are famous for.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

Top 3 VUM Runners will have mandatory kit inspections.
Other kit inspections are carried out at random, including at the start line.
Lack of mandatory kit will result in disqualification (DSQ) or time penalty.

Refusal of kit check = DSQ

Please note we disqualified runners at every event in the past year for lacking kit. Be prepared and carry what you need.
