UpRace is a virtual run organised since 2018. For every kilometer run by the participants, the event sponsors will donate VND 1,000 to charity.
With so many sport events postponed due to Covid-19, runners this year were even more inspired to sign up and run UpRace 2021.
Within the 22 days of the event (Oct 31 – Nov 21), 238,559 ‘UpRacers’ succeeded set new records. In total, 5,113,053 kilomertes were run and billions of VND raised for four social organizations, including Newborns Vietnam (VND 1,363,265,000) and Operation Smile (VND 796,475,000) – both VTS charity partners for many years.
Despite the challenges everyone has been going through this year, it has been heart-warming to see the running community stay strong and come together for these good causes.
