Course description
Set in the heart of Mai Chau, this beautiful, easy 10km is built for newbie trail runners, groups of friends and families.
Flat trails and paths lead through stunning corners of Mai Chau, with no climbs or technical terrain to intimidate you. You won’t need lots of specialist trail running gear and training to complete this course – anybody with basic physical fitness can do it!
The route includes small trails through rice paddies, alongside streams and through beautiful bamboo, all surrounded by the mountains of Mai Chau. There are plenty of great trail photo opportunities, and our team of professional photographers will capture your trail moments, creating memories to last a lifetime. Free race photography is included!
When you’ve crossed the finish line, collect your medal and head to our finisher buffet feast to enjoy well-earned local dishes, snacks, fruits and drinks.
Hang out in the race area more to cheer on the ultra 75km and 55km finishers while you enjoy music, free drinks and the good company of your fellow runners!

COT: CP Nà Mèo 5km at 11:30 – Finish 10.9km at 14:30
Please note, the Cut Off Time (COT) is the time you must leave the checkpoint. If you leave after the COT, the timing system will automatically list you as DNF (Did Not Finish). Also, if you leave on time, but you go back to the checkpoint after the COT, you will be listed DNF.
Age Restriction: Entrants must be at least 10 years old on the race date. For 10km entrants under 16 years old, parents/guardians must sign the consent form for race pack collection. Race entrants under 16 must run along with the guardian.
Finish Bag
01 bag/runner. Hand in/Pick up at the START/FINISH.
Please prepare your own bag. Bags must be sealed/closed. Do not include valuables – the organiser cannot be held responsible for any loss. BRING your luggage tag (given at the race pack collection), we will staple it for you.

Picking up your bag after the race: at the FINISH
Note: no individual requests for bag transfers can be facilitated. ALL bags are moved together.
MANDATORY EQUIPMENT
Top 3 VUM Runners will have mandatory kit inspections.
Other kit inspections are carried out at random, including at the start line.
Lack of mandatory kit will result in disqualification (DSQ).
Refusal of kit check = DSQ
Please note we disqualified runners at every event in the past year for lacking kit. Be prepared and carry what you need.
