On 29 October 2025 in Ban Ho Commune (Sa Pa), Topas (VMM organiser), in collaboration with charity partner Frederiksborg Gymnasium (Denmark), hosted the Inauguration Ceremony of the new playground for the Thanh Kim School Cluster (Kindergarten – Primary – Secondary).

Prior to the ceremony, the delegation also visited Ban Pho School of Ta Van Commune. This site features a teacher housing facility which was also built as a joint initiative between Topas and Frederiksborg Gymnasium in 2023.

The playground and school projects together build a strong connection between Topas, the Danish students and the children in the mountains of Sa Pa, provide them with a safe and joyful space to play and grow, and inspire them on their educational journey.

Topas project manager and VMM vice race director, Kien, said: “We have completed various educational projects over the years, including building the classrooms and teacher houses. However, this is the first time we built a large playground just for the kids, making this project a very special one for the children in this area.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the teachers, parents, and students of Frederiksborg Gymnasium and VMM runners for the funds that turned this vision into reality for the children of Thanh Kim.
