When Typhoon Yagi struck Lao Cai, the damage left behind was devastating. Vietnam Mountain Marathon acted by allocating VND1billion to the relief effort.

Homes, roads, and communities across the province – including the Sapa area that has always been the heart of Vietnam Mountain Marathon – were severely affected.

In the immediate days following the disaster, our Sapa team acted together with the authorities to get immediate aid in the form of necessities to those impacted.

We then worked with the local authorities to allocate funds to assist those in the Sapa area who were impacted by the typhoon.
