The results of the March VTS Strava Club Challenge are in and the winner is from right here in Vietnam!
Tran Toan clocked an incredible 646 km in the four weeks of the challenge. He wins a free entry to the Vietnam Trail Series race of his choice: VJM 2019, VMM 2019 or VTM 2020.
Hanoi is not known as a city for walking, but Tran Toan bucks the trend and gets around on two feet almost everyday, helping him to get more miles done alongside his dedicated training efforts.
He said: “I stopped using a motorcycle a few years ago and I walk instead. I only take a bus or grab when I need to travel longer distances.
“I was injured for a long time, but finally I was fully recovered in Feb, so I ran a lot in March to prepare for some upcoming races such as EPM and Vietnam Jungle Marathon. I was happy to know that the VTS challenge allowed us to count our walking record as well.”
He beat Run Tokyo into second place and Cheng PACA Runners into third place.
