VMM charity partner Newborns Vietnam has signed a new five-year agreement with the Hanoi Department of Health, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynaecology Hospital (OBGY), Vietnam National Children’s Hospital (VNCH), St Paul Hospital.
This landmark step has been made possible partly by the donations of VMM runners in 2018.
Newborns will provide UK training for doctors and nurses at nine hospitals and develop a safe transport system.
A two-year neonatal nurse training programme taught by Edinburgh Napier University at VNCH and a post graduate training for doctors will also begin soon.
