Newborns Vietnam at Garmin Run Hanoi by Topas

On 24 Mar 2019, Newborns had a team of neonatal medical staff including six nurses who ran their first 5 km at Garmin Run Hanoi by Topas.  These nurses are studying on the new Newborns course at VNCH taught by Edinburgh Napier University – a project part funded by Topas events.

Alongside with them were 50 supporters including juniors from 6 to 15 years old who raced 5km or 10km.

Like other races by Topas, Garmin Run Hanoi also supported charitable work.  The event had a Junior 5km for 6-15 years old runners and 100% of these proceeds went straight to Newborns Vietnam which works to increase life chances for critically ill newborn babies in Vietnam.

Newborns founder, Suzanna Lubran said, “We are very pleased to continue our partnership with Topas to raise not only valuable funds, but also awareness of our work to save the lives of newborns here in Vietnam. Our projects at the Vietnam National Children’s Hospital, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynaecology Hospital and St Paul Hospital are going from strength to strength so it is wonderful for our team and supporters to join an event together in the capital.
