The race started early in the morning, and the couple was among the thousands of runners who gathered at the starting line. The stunning beauty of Ham Rong Mountain took their breath away as they were surrounded by clouds over majestic mountains and golden terraces. They knew that they were lucky to be able to experience such beauty while doing something they love.
As the race progressed, the terrain became more challenging, and the weather started to change. Despite the challenging terrain, Finn and Ellen remained determined and motivated each other every step of the way.
Finally, after two hours and thirteen minutes, Finn crossed the finish line as the first man in the VMM 21km, with Ellen following just eighteen minutes later as the first woman. They had successfully conquered Vietnam’s hardest trail marathon and were filled with pride and joy while admiring the stunning beauty of the finish area at Topas Ecolodge in Sapa.
