At Vietnam Trail Marathon, we believe running is not just about competition, but about opportunity, confidence and growth. This is why we invited a large team of kids and staff from the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation to experience our race and enjoy a weekend away in the Moc Chau mountains.

For many years we have been proud to welcome large groups of young runners along with staff from the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation to the northern mountains of Moc Chau. This year, most of these young kids joined the 5km distance, including some first timers and some return runners who have joined us in years past.
One of them, Dung, came to the race for the first time with two aims. “I had two goals and achieved one of them,” he shared. “I ran five kilometres in under 30 minutes, ticking off one goal. I didn’t win my age group this year, so I missed my second target, but I’ll keep training and come back stronger.”

Another young runner, Tuan, a football-loving and hip-hop fan, finished second in his age group. For him, the race was about more than a result – it was a chance to inspire others. “I did better than I expected,” he said. “The training and advice helped me have a great race. I hope my experience can bring positive energy to other kids at Blue Dragon.”
Vi, co-CEO of Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation said: “When children are given the space to dream, move and believe in themselves, every step forward becomes part of something bigger – a future where all children are safe to thrive.”
