Topas Riverside Run
Welcome to the latest trail run from the Topas Vietnam Trail Series team. A full weekend mountain running experience deep in the Nam Cang valley, North Vietnam.
ROUTE PROFILES
Choose 12km or 25km. Run trails and small back-roads through ethnic minority villages, across bridges, among majestic rice terraces and finally cross a swing bridge to the finish line. Grand scenery and extreme beauty awaits.
A NEW EXPERIENCE FOR 2020
Inspired by our Topas team trip to this beautiful area in May 2020, we decided to create a smaller scale mountain event for those who, like us, want to get out into the hills for some adventure following the period of lockdown.
The Nam Cang valley and surrounding area is one of the most stunning we have seen in our extensive research in the hills. On Saturday of race weekend we will introduce these landscapes and minority villages to you through the race. On Sunday we will show you more at an easier pace with an optional extra 7 to 9km recovery walk (or run?!) to another truly magical river valley.
FINISH LINE
Those who have run Topas races before know we like to create beautiful, unique finish lines. At Topas Riverside Run you will finish by crossing a white water river on a swing bridge. Your audience will be fellow trail runners and the Red Dao villagers (mainly the kids!) of Nam Cang. Nothing remotely like this has ever happened here before so we expect a fun atmosphere and warm welcome from our friends in the village.
